Michael Probstfeld, MD
Dr. Probstfeld is a native of southern California. He attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine and completed his internship and surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Probstfeld is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is President of the Arizona chapter of the American College of Surgeons and has active memberships in multiple national and local medical societies.
From 1990 through 1993, Dr. Probstfeld served as a Major in the United States Air Force at Loring Air Force Base in Maine as Chief of Surgery and was responsible for regional triage during the Desert Storm conflict. He then moved to north central Wisconsin where he was in private practice until 1998 when he came to Tucson, Arizona to practice. Dr. Probstfeld is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona and is actively involved in training surgical residents. He has privileges at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tucson Medical Center and El Dorado Hospital.
